Here are some things to keep in mind as you get ready for your Private Party Paddock gathering Saturday at the Willowdale Steeplechase.

  1. Remember COVID guidelines will apply.  Wear a mask when not in your Private Party Paddock area and practice social distancing.
  2. If you need directions to the race course, the address is 101 East Street Road Kennett Square PA 19348 – but please check your admission credential for specific entrance gate.
  3. Gates open at 10:00 AM.
  4. THERE ARE NO DROP-OFFS PERMITTED
  5. NO RE-ENTRY
  6. NO WALK-INS PERMITTED
  7. Print your Private Party Paddock pass and show it at the gate for entry. This pass is for the car that will be in your reserved space. It’s a good idea to put your supplies/food and drinks in that car for easy carrying. Remember up to 6 people in the car will be admitted.
  8. Print your Guest Parking pass and show it at the gate for entry.  This pass is for the car that will go to the designated guest parking area. Remember up to 4 people in the car will be admitted.
  9. How do I find my spot? Once you enter at your designated gate, your pass will be scanned and a count taken. You will then follow signs to your designated parking section – parking attendants will help you.
  10. How to find guest parking – ALL Guest parking enters at Gate 2. Show your pass for scanning and count and then follow signs to Guest parking.
  11. Your 10’ x 10’ canopy tent will have one 6-foot table – no tent sides permitted.  Bring folding chairs if you need them. No open flames are allowed– no chafing dishes or grills.

  13. Well behaved dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on leashes.
  14. Wear comfortable flat shoes; you will be in a field on uneven ground.
  15. The races will run rain or shine.  If the weather is wet, boots and rain gear are the way to go.
  16. Plan to stay at your Private Party Paddock.  Let’s be safe and limit socializing to close friends and family.  Please no groups larger than 10 people.
  17. Please be courteous of others space – this includes the Railside Private Party Paddocks – please be respectful of others – absolutely DO NOT CROWD AT THE RAIL – MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING.
  18. As always horses have the right of way.  NO ONE IS EVER PERMITTED ON THE RACE COURSE OR IN THE PADDOCK.  Stay off the course and fencing.  Keep your children close and watch them.
  19. In an emergency call 911.  The ambulances near the racecourse will respond.
  20. Join the NSA’s Pick 6 Fantasy Stable competition! It’s fun (and FREE!) to cheer for the horses in your Fantasy Stable and you have a chance to WIN fun prizes! The biggest earner the week of Willowdale will win some great Willowdale swag. The Grand Prize winner receives an all-inclusive pass to the Queen’s Cup Steeplechase in North Carolina in 2022.   21. The Willowdale races will also be simulcast on the NSA’s website, here: https://www.nationalsteeplechase.com/jump-racing-usa/
  22. On Monday evening the NSA’s recap show, Jump Racing USA, will air at 7pm and will feature race replays, race analysis and interviews. Even if you attended the races this is a fun new way to look at them!   23. Trash boxes are provided throughout the grounds. Please also bring your own trash bag and take your trash home or dispose of trash before leaving.
  24. If you leave the racecourse grounds there will be no re-admission.
  25. Permission to use photographs of you and your party is assumed automatically when you enter the grounds.
  26. NO DRONES, BUSES OR COMMERICIAL VANS, CAMPERS, PANEL TRUCKS, GOLF CARTS OR ATV’S (OFFICIAL USE ONLY) PERMITTED.
